Following an urge to post these.

No order. No curation. No quality checks.

Interesting Video about not getting lost in illusion and symbolism. It can be intoxicating and make one think more than what is happening. Always question. Test. Re-Test. Be curious. But be careful. Stay grounded in reality.

For example. Looking at this entire website, not just grazing, you can see a person who has gone through many challenges and traumas throughout life. During any one of those traumas they could look at an object, bury it in their psyche and then create a connection decades later.

The barge above. It was in my grandfathers store, made in the year I was born. By coincidence it has images that are similar to things that I do or have studied in my life. Images that are common across cultures even. A troubled psyche sees them and says it’s a “message.” In reality it is a complex web of memories rebuilt at a later time under duress. Nothing more. It’s the mind seeking clarity in a horribly confusing time. So it manufactures it into something grand. The danger is when that illusion is lifted and there is no grand plan. It’s just life. That could cause the wrong person to go mad. That would be hell.

I can see that as a former computer programmer who runs the data over and over until it can be explained logically. Every image has a simple explanation. The fun part is finding the connections. The smart part is letting go of those and not letting them turn into webs that you end up tangled in. If you can have fun and avoid the entanglement, then you are free. Peace!
