Note: I’ve been carrying that model boat around for 30 years. It’s a family heirloom. Took it out yesterday for sentimental reasons. It is going to the next generation in the new year.

Another note: This relationship has been bugging me. I looked for a date. The other models have dates. 1966, the year I was born. This one has no date I can find on box or in the instructions. Not satisfied. I looked up the model to see when it was created. The significance was not in the year the toy was made. It was the model and the man who made it. He was an inventor. Like me!! I’m just starting.
