Manipulate the sound by interfering with the laser light with DC motors spinning hand fabricated diffusers. DC motors are small high speed (3200 RMP) to high torque slow speed (16 RPM), to vibrating and oscillating motors. Custom housings have been made to hold power supply, speed controller, and motor quick swap connections.
